My Extra V-Day Gift

On Sunday after Church we always go out to eat with Randall's parents. This Sunday was no exception. His parent's had given us, as well as his sister and her husband gift cards to Outback. So we went to eat at Outback. Stacy and Chris got there first so they went ahead and got our table, then we arrived(yes even the kids go), and then his parent's got there. Well his dad walks in holding a Kay Jewelers bag. I was thinking did he not give mom's present to her? Well once we had drinks and blooming onions on the table. He handed me a box and said Happy Valentine's Day! I was like okay, what is this. Well inside was one of those new Open Heart Necklaces with diamonds that Jane Seymour designed for Kay Jewelers. It is very pretty. His Dad said the he got one for both of his daughters... Isn't the at the sweetest thing. Anyway, I never would have thought I would come out of V-Day with new Pearl Earrings and a Diamond Necklace....

He's Just Not That Into You" review

Ok so for V-Day I actually got to pick the movie so I really wanted to see this. Seeing as how I read the book back when I was trying to figure out if Randall was "into me or not" as we had been doing the hanging out together/ ? dating thing for almost 2 years when the book came out. Anyway, I give it 3.5 /5 stars. It is really cute and they really hit the nail on the head with some things, but it is hard to follow at times. It jumps back and forth between several couples and shows how all the couples in the movie are part of each others lives. It has some sad parts, and some happy ones as well.. I did not cry, but the teenager sitting beside me did. I just sat there thinking that she hasn't seen anything yet... Oh and her friend snorted when she laughed, so that did take away from the movie a little. A definite to see with your girlfriends, since at one point we have all been single, and at least one part of that movie will hit home with each and every one of us.

My "Surprise" Valentines Day

Randall and myself usually only exchange cards on V-Day. However this year, about a week before Valentines, he informed me that we had dinner reservations for 5:30pm but would not tell me where, he had also already made sure that my Mom would be able to keep the kids in order for us to go out. He did tell me that I could pick out what movie to go watch after dinner. Knowing that I had to work until 3pm that day, I was a little worried that I would run us late, since I would have to come home take a shower and get ready. Luckily, I made it home from work really quick. I jumped in the shower, and Randall got home with the kids( I wanted to at least see them before going out that night). So when I got out of the shower I came into the bedroom and there was a card laying in front of my pillow. I went and got his card and we exchanged cards. Knowing I was in a time crunch I told him I loved him, gave him a kiss, and tried to get up to go finish getting ready. He said "sit back down", so I did and he lifted up my pillow and there they were... MIKIMOTO PEARL EARRINGS..

I was in shock. I totally didn't expect anything. These earrings are super special because Pearl is Karli's birthstone... I told him I felt bad because I didn't get him anything. Well actually I upgraded the directtv to include High Definition DVR service, but that is kinda for both of us. Anyway, so I finished getting ready, we dropped the kids off at my moms house and left for dinner. He surprised me again by taking me to eat at RUTHS CHRIS STEAKHOUSE. After we ate, we went to see a movie. He let me pick so we saw "He's Just Not That Into You".(read my review).. Then we went and picked up the kids and came home. I have to say handsdown it was my best V-Day ever!!!
