7 Months Already

I can't believe that Karli is 7 months old already. Time really does fly. Here are a few pictures from last night. She looks so much like Randall. I should have an updated weight on her sometime this week, as she is due for her monthly Synagis shot. I will be so glad when RSV season is over and she doesn't have to get a shot every single month. Enjoy the pictures.

Girls Night Out

I just got home from Girls night out. Of course I had to cut my night a little short as Randall had to work, and I had to come home and get the kids. I had forgotten how much fun it is to just go out and get away from work. We went and ate at Cocina Superior and had a great time talking. Some of the girls were headed out after dinner, and some of us went home. We used to go out at least once a month, but that got lost somewhere along the way. Anyway I had a great time and can't wait until we do it again. Maybe next time we go I will be able to have a drink!! Anyway thanks to Jessica, Brook B, Brooke J, Amy D, Amy N, Katherine, and Julie for a fun night.

Just My Ramblings

Lately, it seems as though all of my blogging has had a direct thought process. It has been awhile since I had one of my rambling blogs. So today I am rambling. My first topic is I am finally sick of working every Saturday. I go back to every other full weekend at the end of February and I can't wait. I mean who doesn't like to sleep in on a Saturday every now and then. The next is that I finally found new curtains that I like for the living room. Now I just have to pick out a paint color. We got our new dresser and I love it, it is huge. There are actually still 2 empty drawers in it that we haven't even used because there is so much space. The next big project for us is to remodel the den into a bedroom for Korey. It is either do this or close in the rest of the basement and the den will take much less time and money. We have to put in french doors and get rid of the sliding glass doors that are there now, then we have to put in a closet or do we. See the den has a door that seperates it from the hallway and in the hallway is a huge(under the stairs) closet and the full bathroom. We aren't going to have to paint because the den is all paneling. Korey is very excited and I am just a little apprehensive, only because we will be upstairs and he will be downstairs. Of course before we can do any of that we have to actually get all of our crap out of the den. LOL.. This could take months. Good thing we don't have to move him until we need another bedroom. Well that is enough ramblings for now. I had more on my mind that I thought.

The Great Debate

The Great Debate at our house is should I work full-time or part-time. Prior to getting pregnant with Karli, I was working Monday-Friday 7a-3p and working one weekend per month. During pregnancy I tried 12 hour shifts 3 days a week and worked every other weekend. Being pregnant that got old really quick, as it made me really tired. After maternity leave I went back to working 4 days a week, every Saturday. All of these shifts were/are full-time. Knowing that we are about to get pregnant again, I want to work part-time. Part-time would be 5 days out of every payperiod. Right now I work 8 days a payperiod. I would still be required to work every other weekend, which kind of stinks, but I would be working 3 days less per pay period. I finally have Randall agreeing that it might be a good idea, based on child care for 2 little ones, and a almost teenager. LOL.. The only catch, he wants me to wait until after the next baby is actually born, and then just go back to work part-time. I explained to him that while on leave, I will only be getting paid for about 40 hours a payperiod anyway, so that is how we will get used to the paycut. He didn't think that was a good thing to point out. LOL he actually pouted. So part-time here I come, eventually...

Paul Blart: Mall Cop- My review

Okay so Sunday was Korey's day to go and celebrate his 11th Birthday. He wanted to go see a movie, and go to Stix for dinner. Stix is one of the many Japanese Steakhouses around here, and Korey's favorite restaurant. Based on the movies that are out, he chose Paul Blart: Mall Cop. I was only hoping that the movie would be bearable. I have to honestly say, it was much better than I expected. A great family movie choice. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. It is so funny. It has just enough humor that it doesn't cross the line into stupidity. So many of the comedy movies released lately are just full of sexual innnuendos, or just plain stupid slapstick comedy. Now don't get me wrong some of that slapstick comedy is really funny, but sometimes those movies go overboard. Not so with this movie. All in all it was a great movie.

My Bloody Valentine 3D-my review

Okay so last week Randall decided he wanted to go see My Bloody Valentine in 3D. So Saturday after working, we went and saw it with my sister-in-law and her hubby. Now keep in mind that me and Randall both love Horror movies. Well this movie is more gore than horror really. It does have some really good scenes given that it was in 3D, and it has some good plot twists. I could have done without the porno scene that is stuck in the center of the movie, but covered my eyes until I knew it was over. I don't really understand why movie executives feel the need to throw nudity into almost every movie made. So I give the movie 3 out of 5 stars. It would have gotten 4 if there hadn't been that scene.

And Baby makes 5....

No I am not pregnant, that I know of, at least not yet. Randall and I have decided that after my period decides to show up this month, we will officially be back in the game. Since I am still nursing/pumping, my cycles are still not like clockwork, so who knows when af will even get here. Currently I am on cd 29 with my temps still way above coverline. The reasons why we want to try so soon, both Randall and myself are the younger child by 6 years. Since Korey was an only child for 10 1/2 years, it is even more important to me that Karli has a sibling close to her own age. So I am thinking even if we were to get pregnant the very first month(HAHA) that Karli would be 17 months old when the new baby is born. But then the realization hit me, we are going to be a family of at least 5. WOW..

Karli all dressed up

Seeing as how it has been unseasonably warm here the past few weeks, I decided to dress Karli up and take some pictures of her in one of her cute little dresses that isn't going to fit her come spring. Being early sure did hurt her wardrobe. I have so many cute little sundresses that she will never get to wear. Anyway here are a few of the pics I took that day, again I think they turned out great.

Our first Christmas with Karli

Here are a few pictures of us on Christmas morning. Randall is the most awake as he had to work the night before and then come home to open presents. Although Karli is still too young to really understand, she still had lots of fun playing with her toys. Korey had a great day, he said that he got everything he wanted even though he didn't ask for half of what he got... It was a perfect Christmas, even though it was almost 70 degrees outside. Oh and check out Korey's hair in the top picture, gotta love it...

Karli's first tutu!!

I never in my wildest dreams would have ever thought that I would dress my little girl up in a tutu, but then again, I never really believed I would have a little girl to dress up. Here is my sweet baby girl in her Christmas tutu. I took these pictures myself. Look at what a little poser I have on my hands. These are only two of the many pictures I got, but I have to say they turned out great.

Can't get this thing working

Ok so I have tried for 2 days to post some new pictures to my blog. The problem, it pretends to upload the pictures then freezes. Seeing as how I have put all the pictures on the laptop and it won't work, I will try again tommorrow. As for now I am trying to get them all on the jump drive so that I can get them onto the desktop. Hope everyone is having a great day...

Long time no post=Bad blogger

Okay, so I know it was the holidays and that should be my excuse, but I can't even use that. I have logged into my blog numerous times in the past few weeks, only to catch up on everyone else and then log out. I'm a slacker. All the pictures from Christmas are still on the camera. My goal on Sunday is to get them all uploaded and post a few new pictures of Karli. Ya'll are not going to believe how big she is getting. We went to the Dr for our 6 month appt. and she weighed in at a whopping 13lbs 14 oz., and was 24 inches long. We are finally on the growth charts!!!YIPPEE... Anyway hopefully by Monday I will have some new pictures for everyone to see. Hope everyone had a happy new year and that all their dreams come true this year.
