Random Musings

Fall is finally here, as evidenced by the chill in the air when I have left for work the last two mornings and needed a lightweight jacket. I love fall, I love the crisp, cool weather, and I REALLY LOVE the fall back time change...Bring it on!!! LOL... I have been happily planning a halloween party with some friends and am getting super excited. Theres only one catch, I can't find my costume that I wanted to wear, so the hunt has begun for a new costume idea.
Something else that has changed or rather will be changing as of next week is Ran's off days. He actually managed to get Thursday and Friday off days, which means he will be off with me for all Holidays...YOOOHOOO... This is a first since we first started dating.. I am super excited. One of my good friends is going to work my Christmas day and I am working her New Years day. Due to the fact that she is hot, young, and single and needs to party, and I am the mother of two soon to be three, not so young and married that goes to bed before the ball drops...LOL..
This week has been my long stretch. I have worked the last six days in a row and still have to work tomorrow. Luckily I am off for the weekend and plan on shopping for some fall wardrobe for the whole family.. A mall trip with an 11 1/2 year old and a 15 month old.. Jealous aren't you.... Trust me if I could do it without the kids I would, but I need them for sizing purposes. Plus I figure a few rubber animal bracelets, and a stuffed animal should calm any tantrums...
Finally, our gender/anatomy scan is on Oct 14th. I am so anxious, which is funny considering that we weren't going to find out the gender this time around. I am still convinced it is another boy, but will happy whichever way. I am so thankful for the family that God has blessed me with. Ran still says this is our caboose, but I am not so certain. I have been told that if this is our last then within a 2-3 year time frame I will be able to work part-time or flexi and pretty much be a stay at home mom, so that is why this may indeed be our last.. Plus as I said earlier I am not so young anymore... Well as usual I have rambled on and on about pretty much everything, so now I must go to bed. I will most definitely post ultrasound pics and results after the appt.

16 week update

Well I had my 16 week checkup today. Everything is great. The baby's heartbeat was 144, convincing me even further that I am having a boy this go around. I lost 4 lbs, but didn't get into trouble. So that puts me still in the "no weight gain". I am just one of the lucky ones I guess. I did have to have a minor surgical procedure in the office due to another issue, but hopefully that will be resolving now. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going by. It seems like just yesterday we were finding out we were even pregnant.
The highlight of todays visit was that we got to schedule our "BIG" ultrasound... So on Wednesday October 14th, we will find out what we are having!!!! I am so glad that Ran caved and decided he did want to find out. Unfortunately I did not find out in time to shop the big kids consignment sale, but will find out in time for Christmas village..hehe...
Off the subject but this morning I went and got my hair colored. It is a copper brown, with lots of red highlights, but I LOVE it....Ran loves it too. The reason I mention it is because the nurse at my Dr.s office even noticed..Does that mean she has seen me way too much in the last 2 years or what..LOL

12 week Appointment and general updates

Today was our 12 week "baby check" appointment. Other than being super tired and still having major heartburn, I have felt great. Our nurse found the heartbeat immediately but then the baby decided to move..LOL.. The heartbeat was 156bpm. My blood pressure and everything was great. I haven't gained any weight, or lost any like I did with Karli. My Dr. said everything is perfect. My next appointment is in 4 weeks.

As for updates.. Korey started middle school last week and LOVES it...Karli started walking last week and is into everything. We have really had to "baby proof" now. I am so glad that I got Ran to put all the cabinet latches in a few weeks ago.
